Interactive city

Paper
Mario Savini, Italy

The reflection will focus on new media art and the development of new cultural landscapes where the “museum” becomes relational and the architecture is also interactive. Some examples demonstrate how the urban areas resemble interfaces, making, for example, platforms for mobile gaming. A typical example is “Blinkenlights” (2001) of the Chaos Computer Club, a project  where the facade of a building has been transformed in a giant interactive display.
