This pre-conference workshop deals with topics in European funded research, specifically the European Framework Program Horizon 2020 and its counterpart for cultural activities, Creative Europe. The workshop is jointly organized by the leaders of three projects funded under FP7: 3D ICONS (www.3d-icons.eu), CREATIVE CH (www.creative-heritage.eu) and V-MUST.net (www.v-must.net). Independent contributions, discussion about the future and networking, and more are also invited.

9:15-11:00 V-MUST.net: New and Sustainable Digital Solutions for Museums. A discussion of the V-MUST solutions for virtual museums, theoretical background, installations, and the V-MUST Competence Centre.

11:00-11:30 Coffee

11:30-13:00 3D ICONS: Solutions for 3D modelling of European architectural and archaeological heritage. How to use 3D models to disseminate Europe’s cultural masterpieces.

13:00-14:00 Lunch

14:00-15:45 CREATIVE CH: Open Access, IPR and the management of rights in the digital Cultural Heritage realm. Open Access and IPR management as key factors for the digital presentation of Cultural Heritage: the main issues and of new perspectives created by changes in regulations and in the attitudes of heritage professionals.

15:45-16:45 Flash News: Other presentations on the theme of the workshop, presented in five minutes/three slides/four pages. Send your 400 word proposal by 31 January.

Proceedings of the workshop will be published online in an Open Access repository.
